Belarusian and Russian military are conducting a joint reconnaissance survey ahead of the army exercise Union Shield 2019, representatives of the Belarusian Defense Ministry told BelTA.

The reconnaissance survey is taking place at the 333rd combat training center of the Western Military District of the Russian Federation Armed Forces under the supervision of Chief of the General Staff, First Deputy Defense Minister of Belarus Oleg Belokonev.

Working groups of the two countries will perform reconciliation in the field and will approve the scenario of practical actions, areas for deploying the troops, the volume and the procedure for implementing technical and logistics measures. The organization of command and control will be reconciled as well.
